Dr. James Renihan, Dean of the Institute of Reformed Baptist Studies at Westminister Seminary in California, has recently posted a couple of items related to Hercules Collins. First, he posted the text of his Foreward to the book Devoted to the Service of the Temple: Piety, Persecution, and Ministry in the Writings of Hercules Collins. Next, he posted an excerpt from Collins’ preface to his Orthodox Catechism which shows how the Particular Baptists of the 17th century perceived their own continuity with historic orthodox Protestant doctrine.
